Founder’s Keynote Speech
By Gerald Valeros

Good afternoon everyone.
When people look at STACKph today — the multiple service lines, the international clients, the structured ecosystem — they often assume it began with scale.
It didn't.
It began with conviction.
The Beginning
There was no large capital backing.
No 500-seat facility.
No big corporate launch.
Just a belief.
A belief that a Philippine outsourcing company could compete globally — not just on cost — but on structure, compliance, and long-term thinking.
At that time, the industry was crowded. Giants dominated the space. But I saw something missing.
Agility.
Customization.
True partnership.
Most firms were transactional.
I wanted to build something strategic.
That was the birth of GDV Business Services Co.
Why We Built It Differently
From day one, we made a decision:
We would build the foundation before chasing growth.
Before scaling headcount, we built:
- Proper labor compliance
- Structured contracts
- Clear attrition frameworks
- Financial discipline
- Margin sustainability models
We were small.
But we were built to scale.
That difference changed everything.
The Birth of STACKph
As clients evolved, their needs evolved.
They didn't just want agents.
They wanted recruiters.
They wanted finance teams.
They wanted healthcare support.
They wanted executive search.
They wanted Employer of Record models.
They wanted U.S.-aligned structuring.
So instead of pivoting…
We stacked.
That's where the name came from.
STACKph wasn't just a brand. It was a strategy.
We built an integrated stack of:
- Talent Acquisition
- Operations
- Compliance
- Knowledge Services
- Global Structuring
Layer by layer.
Disciplined growth.
Intentional expansion.
Not chasing everything.
Stacking intelligently.
The Turning Point
There came a moment when we had a choice.
Stay small and comfortable.
Or build an ecosystem.
We chose ecosystem.
That meant:
- Expanding service lines
- Structuring multi-entity models
- Serving global markets
- Elevating from vendor to partner
We stopped selling manpower.
We started building solutions.
That shift transformed STACKph.
The Core Philosophy
Three principles shaped this company:
1. Structure First. Scale Second. If your foundation is weak, growth will expose it.
2. Partnership Over Transaction. We don't look for contracts. We look for alignment.
3. Long-Term Thinking. STACKph was never meant to be one service. It was meant to be a platform. An ecosystem. A launchpad.
What I'm Most Proud Of
It's not the revenue.
It's not the expansion.
It's not even the global footprint.
It's this:
We built something sustainable.
We built something compliant.
We built something that can outlast cycles.
And we did it with integrity.
To the Team
To every recruiter who worked late nights.
To every operations lead who fixed what wasn't visible.
To every finance officer who protected margins.
To every client who trusted us early.
You didn't just join a company.
You helped build a stack.
And that stack is still growing.
The Future
We are not done.
We are expanding vertically.
We are expanding geographically.
We are expanding structurally.
But we will never abandon the principles that started it.
Because this company wasn't built on hype.
It was built on discipline.
And discipline scales.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
The stack is still building. And the best layers are yet to come.
